Chimney Inspections
It is always a good idea to have a chimney inspection. Especially if you just moved into a place with a wood burning appliance or there is any doubt about a chimneys condition. We offer two main types of chimney inspections;
1 1. Visual inspection, usually done while were servicing the fireplace. We will verbally note any issues or concerns directly to the homeowner.
2 2. WETT Inc. certified inspector level 1 inspection. This will include numerous pictures and a wett Inc. recommended checklist and written report.
Either type of inspection is termed “readily accessible”, which means quickly or easily reached for inspection. It does not require the use of any special tools for opening or removing of any panel, door, or other covering. Nor the use of a ladder.
The main scope of a level 1 inspection is to find out if the wood burning appliance meets all the current building and fire codes. Which in doing so will alert the homeowner to any potential hazards or servicing needs.
